Delta Controls collaborated with Microsoft and ICONICS on the paper, \u201cMeasuring Occupancy with Delta Controls O3 Sense, Azure IoT, and ICONICS.\u201d<\/p>

Monitoring occupancy of spaces in commercial buildings has many benefits such as security, safety, and energy conservation. This paper is being written during the coronavirus pandemic, and monitoring occupancy has taken on additional importance and introduces a couple of technical challenges.<\/p>

First, detecting the presence of someone in a space can be done using motion, audio, heat, or visual sensors, but on their own, each is subject to false positives.<\/p>

Second, just detecting the presence of someone is not adequate, as you need that information to be analyzed and for appropriate action to be taken.<\/p>

This paper describes using the O3 Sense connected to Microsoft Azure cloud where different technologies from Microsoft and ICONICS are used to analyze the data.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
